Anything and everything to distract from Epstein. It is getting more frantic and destructive as information not sealed in a vault by DOJ leaks out. A prince has already fallen. The blackmail empire was/is too big to hide from sight. AFAICT, no blackmail victims have been freed with Epstein's demise.

The distraction machine has no consistent underlying goal other than the distraction itself. It's Canada, Nigeria, Venezuela, Mexico, Portland, Los Angeles, Chicago. No SNAP, half a SNAP, destruction of the East Wing.

And the icing on the cake is this statement from 2018: [0]

> "Trump: We don't want to be the policemen of the world" BY BRETT SAMUELS - 04/30/18

> President Trump on Monday said the U.S. should no longer serve as the “policemen of the world.”

> “We more and more are not wanting to be the policemen of the world,” Trump said during a joint press conference with Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari.

> “We’re spending tremendous amounts of money for decades policing the world, and that shouldn’t be the priority ... "

Trump thrives in mediatic chaos and a lot of things going on around. His worst fear is ... a calm boring period, be it in domestic or international politics. Because then, people may start asking real questions.

As long as can flood the headlines with whatever he wants, people will be busy with those. And not ask for example why he pardoned a guy who pretty much gave him 2 Billons $ ? Or what's up with that Epstein list ?

He needs however bigger and bigger things to keep the show on.

He's probably the first politician in history to carry out every single one of his campaign promises in the first 5 minutes of getting into power... Trump does big things, huge things, the bigliest things ever... That's not in itself problematic, unless you think the things he's doing are all bad.

The chaos can be glorious, like the time when he informed Israel, Iran and the rest of the world that their war was over and a ceasefire had been agreed upon seemingly without their knowledge.

It feels like reality now is just an ongoing season of the Trump Show. He knows how to seize every moment to make himself the centre of everything. One surreal example is Trump warmly welcoming kier starmer to his residence in Scotland. The Prime Minister being treated like a guest in his own country!

America grates just fine. Uncertainty roils the market and currency. Mid/long term planning almost impossible due to tariff and cost uncertainty. And maybe the government workers or the government itself might come back to work…

Wasn't one of his big campaign promises to release the Epstein files? That hasn't happened in any meaningful sense.

What Trump is doing is far beyond stupid. Worse, it will not stop drug deaths in the USA. It is all theatrics, predation, and molestation. He can put on a show and slash, and screw, but will do NOTHING to deal with addiction. What will satisfy him is beating up on more people south of the U.S. border.

If you believe anything he says, I have a bridge to sell you. If you want to imagine the future, consider what Orwell wrote about that boot stamping a human face, forever...
